LAMB PROBLEMS - Detecting, diagnosing
and Treating
This sheep farming book shows you how
to treat respiratory, scours, feet, prolapse,
digestive, and 145 other problems in lambs.

Uses the authors unique system of
Diagnostic Check Sheets, Symptom Flow
Charts, And Treatment Text.

Discover how easy it is to: DETECT - Use
the Diagnostic Check Sheet to check off the
lamb's symptoms. They are all listed.
You simply check them off! DIAGNOSE - Use the Flow Charts
indicated by the Diagnostic Check Sheet to quickly determine the
problems. TREAT - Referring to the text indicated by the flow
charts, you know how to treat and what medications to use.

The text for each problem has three sections - Symptoms,
Treatment, and Cause. In an emergency, you can go straight to
the Treatment section and treat the lamb, and come back later
and learn the cause of the problem. By following this simple, yet
effective, system you can quickly determine the lambs problem,
treat it, and understand how and why the problem occurred.

Full size 8.5" X 11" and fully illustrated. For anyone raising
sheep, sheep farming, sheep breeding or thinking of having
sheep.
Here is an example of the Check Sheet, Symptom
Flow Chart and Written Text at work.
DIAGNOSTIC CHECK SHEET
As with the Ewe Check Sheet, as an example of how the system
works, say you take this Diagnostic Check Sheet to the barn
and checked off the symptoms shown in red. Follow the
example as it continues after the Check Sheet.

Our symptoms registered 10 times for chart 7, 5 times for chart
1, 4 times for charts 3 and 8, 3 times for chart 6, and 2 times for
charts 2 , 5 and 9. Since chart 7 received the most, chart 7 is the
prime place to look. A portion of chart 7 appears below. Follow
the portion of the chart marked in red to see how it leads us to
Grass Tetany Page 106 of the text. Our example continues after
the chart. The charts in the book are clearer than the reduced
reproduction below.
SYMPTOM FLOW CHART # 7
Next is page 106 describing Grass Tetany. Note that this section,
and all sections in the book, has three sections - Symptoms,
Treatment, and Cause. In an emergency, you can go straight to
the Treatment section and treat the lamb, and come back later
and learn the cause of the problem.
